Tyler Martens is Stickybuds, a Kelowna-based Breaks DJ who sold his '79 Cadillac Coupe Deville four years ago to buy DJ gear. Since then, he has become one of the most sought after DJs in the BC Interior scene.
Stickybuds is a triple threat DJ with tight mixing, slick turntabilism, and an arsenal of killer tunes including his own stellar productions. Sticky's magnetic stage presence and energized sets filled with genre-mashing combos make him a crowd pleasing favorite at every show! His love of everything 'fat' from Breaks to Funk & Reggae, Drum'n'Bass, and even Hip Hop all layered with bomb acapellas shines through with impeccable party style.
With 2 Shambhala performances under his belt, a regional DMC turntablist championship title, a solid residency at Toddy Rockwell's "Higher Ground" Kelowna's longest running underground club night, and heaps of performances all over the province, Stickybuds has accomplished alot in a short time. Tyler has also performed alongside some of the finest in the industry like Funk Reggae band Moses Mayes, Shambhala favorite live act Wassabi Collective, as well as his favorite Breaks artists DJ Czech, Kraddy, Dig Dug, and Lorin Bassnectar.
