"I'LL BE MOVING ON" - New Album by Toyin Adekale

About Me

Toyin's career started with group Instigators (Mafia & Fluxie), which lead to their first hit "LET'S MAKE LOVE". Following this was her first solo "TOUCH A 4 LEAF CLOVER" for Sir George label (Anthony Brightley) , to doing backing vocals and working with some of the greatest artists that she herself had admired. Thus leading her to the inevitability of setting up her vocal agency and own label. Vocal co-ordination and direction is one of Toyin's hobbies amidst her solo career. Toyin has been coaching and producing vocals for other artists for most of her own career. For more information check out www.toyinadekale.com.Talitha Voices Label was set up in 2003 by Toyin Adekale, to house the UK's distinctive flavour of RnB with a difference (Reggae n Blues), with it's Rhythm n Blues, infused with Reggae Flavour and Jazz overtones, adding a rough edge with it's dancehall rhythms, to it's sultry foundation of Lovers Rock and Soul, and even a hint of hiphop, forming a coctail of music to cater for many tastes.Talitha Voices though having a foundation of reggae covers such a vast range and amalgation of styles, that no matter what your flavour, it's worth taking a scoop to wet your taste buds.Open your heart and your mind to Talitha Voices presenting Toyin Adekalemspmb enableJavascript="false" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" src="http://lads.myspace.com/slides/slideshow_random.swf?u=8 6704218" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="426

This prompted interest and a signing to EMI Records.
Influences: My love for music envelopes all music genres, from my first love "Lovers Rock" with people like Jean Adebambao, Samantha Rose, Paul Dawkins & Tradition, to the JA's Ruddy Thomas, Delroy Wilson, Pat Kelly to name but a few. Then my RnB classics, from Anita Baker, Angela Winbush and Arethra Franklyn to the Jazz icons, Billy Holiday, and exceptional Cleo Lain. Let me not forget my African Roots, King Sunny Ade, Mariam MaKeba, Hugh Masakele, Ladysmith Black Mambazo (my favourites). Then the abstract sounds of voice "Bobby McFerron". All these people and more have played a significant part in the molding of Toyin Adekale. Thank God for the gift of music.
