Welcome to the world of glyph.... but beware of glyph imposters! The short of it:.......Glyph is a four-piece band originating from the green of Australia's Blue Mountains with a style that resembles a left-of-field fusion of soul, rock & sideshow tunes....... The band hope to get as many gigs under their belt in and around Sydneytown before the upcoming release of their debut album in 2007. They also call upon any other good musicians and artists to band together (so to speak) to create a musical community that supports, nurtures and guarantees the craft's existence for years to come........ So dont bee shy, go inside! ........The long of it:...Glyph is the story of a young girl who got lost inside a blue and green labyrinth, known only as the Blue Mountains. U see, she went away to come back again but was gone for longer than expected, years in fact. She lived in the brightly lit city and often wondered when she looked back to the mountain behind her, what stories were in the little lights way off in the distance. So she made the journey. All the while kicking up crispy autumn leaves, bathing in spring light and swimming in summer poetry. She thought that by being alone she would be able to ponder more of life's questions and perfect her art, she thought, that by creating more space and hence more silence there would be more room for learning. The story begins like this ... "Whispers in the wind say that the answer is near Sleeping poets see what it means to be Lost inside a dream, lost inside a blue and green labyrinth "Sweet harmony, take what u will!" Sadness falls asleep in mercy's sweet embrace An early mountain haze invites u to stay Peeling painted walls deceive judgemental souls Unfolding all beauty here..."
