About Me

Hi there...!!! My name's Esther and I'm a medical student at Liverpool Uni. When I'm not doing medicine, I'm usually in a theatre, museum, shopping centre, McDonalds, Costa Coffee, the special collections in the basement of the Uni library, taking photographs, writing short stories or painting with Home Bargains Acrylic paints...
MySpace has become somewhat redundant with my discover of Facebook... go find me there! I'm still collecting things, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and more recently Mighty Boosh things off eBay. My most recent aquisition, a book on botany and medicinal herbs from 1918. You're most likely to find me wandering round Liverpool taking photographs of pigeons.
I'm always trying to add new pictures and bits of writing to MySpace. So check out pictures of me and my Uni friends, my random diary-esque blog entries, or just come and chat.
So thanks for taking the time to visit, wipe your feet on the way in, and show yourself out. You could even leave a message if you like. :D

My Interests

Harry Potter (David Tennant is hot!), Doctor Who (David Tennant is hot!), David Tennant (er... because he's hot!), The History of the LMSS (because I'm an insane geek), Clubbing (as long as it ends up at the Raz), Books ('specially old 'uns), Poetry, Silk painting, Theatre-going, and tracking down famous people.

I'd like to meet:

Stephen Fry because he has an amazing voice, is a comic genius, and likes Harry Potter.

Music:

Harry Potter sound track, Doctor Who theme tune (heehee... this annoying ya yet?)... no, seriously though, I like Stackridge, The Bonzo Dog Doodah Band, Scaffold aren't bad, British Folk Music, Mozart, and Musicals (my favourite is Les Miserables).

Movies:

Harry Potter I to IV, Lord of the Rings, Big Fish and Sleepy Hollow, The Matrix, What's New Pussycat, Casino Royal (the original James Bond spoof, not the new one), Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, My Fair Lady.

Television:

Doctor Who, Star Trek, The X Files, Pride and Predjudice, War and Peace, Sherlock Holmes, Box of Delights,

Books:

The Catcher in the Rye, Harry Potter, David Almond's Skellig, Kit's Wilderness, Heaven Eyes, Secret Heart, Counting Stars, Clay... Ian McEwan's Enduring Love, Saturday, First Love Last Rights... A Christmas Carol, Terry Pratchett... Classics.

Heroes:

My Dad... no I mean it! He gave me random tastes in music, books, er... life in general... comedians like Stephen Fry (my other hero), Bill oddie, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graham Garden, The Python team, Eddie Izzard... and taught me the importance of atmosphere... e.g. like yesterday when I read Little Women in a cafe while eating a tuna baguette and drinking a mocha. There's a time and place, and sometimes both.

My Blog

Short Story Competition

Liverpool... back again, and again, and again.

Back in L'pool today for 3 hours of drop-ins. It was useful, and I'm feeling more confident about the whole 'Doctor' thing. Ever since I came out of the original exam knowing I'd probably failed I fel...

Fish and Chips, Rhubarb Sticks, Bikers and Carnations...

Last Saturday we visited my Aunt Pauline. She's finding it hard to breathe in the hot weather, just like my grandad who's also asthmatic. I went with my grandad to get the fish and chips, starting the...
