Lil' Saint is the Prince out of Africa. Born in Philadephia (USA) and taken back to his motherland Zimbabwe as a six month old baby. He has a twin brother whom he has never met since they were separated when his mother was forced to return suddenly to Zimbabwe and allowed to take only one child and leave the other behind in Philadephia with their father. Lil' Saint has never met his father and was raised as a street child in Zimbabwe since his mother fell on hard times and turned to prostitution and drug dealing in order to support herself and her son.
As a child he was left to roam the streets scavenging for food with other neglected and abandoned children. Soon Lil' Saint and his little buddies where being used to ferry drugs and diamonds for gangster drug dealers. Inevitably violence, beatings, shootings and murder go with the territory and Lil' Saint got caught up in it. He saw his best friend and his brother wiped out in front of him and his little friend Tum died in his arms hence he says "I can't Love" when he raps on "Love Don't Live Here Nomore". In trying to avenge the death of his friends Lil' Saint found himself locked up for 7 years in a prison for adults, something that's hard to imagine. As a result he lost touch with his mother, the only family he ever knew.
After seven years in the penn he was released and found his way back to Harare (The capital) He tried to find his mother and before he could locate her he got shot 7 times and was in a comma for over 6 months. A kind ex- red cross war surgeon took him in and cared for him during this traumatic period.
Eventually his mother (now deceased RIP) was found and she was able somehow to arrange for Lil' Saint to be sent to Finland for surgery and to remove a bullet that was lodged in his mouth. She also was able to arrange with an old friend married and settled in the UK to adopt Lil Saint and become legal guardians. Hence Lil' Saint ended up in Birmingham (England) where he under went physiotherapy, started going to school and started rapping.....now he is a bonafide U.K. citizen living in London.
17 year old Lil Saint has now turned his life around and fighting for the crown of rap king of the UK and Africa. His life has been colourful and scary but that's in the past. He says he wont bow down to no man..and all he is interested in now is to inspire and cry for those who have no voice of they own...no more gun clappin."i just wanna work, i stay up each night visualising the day i get my shot, im so ready to go right now im might explode"
He is at early stages of discussing a publishing contract with top literacy ageny William Morris and the future looks bright.
His Album "COLD TO GOLD" will be released on Black Magic Records. It will also be available for online downloads through The Orchard.
