I'm from that Mac-town; Macon, GA (Mac-town stay down!) where the realest live and the truest roam. The place where you can hit the Macon Mall (nah, not the Colonial Mall; it'll always be the Macon Mall) and the ladies get their grown-woman on at 5-7-9, Express, Body Shop, and Wet Seal. The place where the folk run up in Hat Shack and get their names printed on their fitted caps. The place where Young Jeezy started his bootleg hustle at. The place where Little Richard was born. The home of Seminoles, Patriots, Chargers, Raiders, formerly Warriors, and now Hurricanes. Where the Renaissance was like regular school for us. Where you would get Alternative School for a week for cutting class. Where the football games ain't poppin' too much, but the Southwest-Northeast basketball game seen peoples crowded on the stage watchin' the game. Where you had to use your auntie's address to hide the fact that you didn't live in your school's zone. The place where it goes down on college nights at Rock-a-Billy's and Ladies' Nights are even better. The place where World War IV went down back when Money's was still on Cherry Street. The place where Levels is hot as hell, where we miss the hell out of Liz Reed's, and you can't walk freely along Downtown Macon because you're subject to having a homeless person follow you and ask you for 10 cents 'cause he's already got 90 pennies that he found while walking and he needs your dime to buy him ONE SQUARE to make his life THAT much better! The place where the Cherry Blossom parade and festivities go down. The place where the Music City Classic gets started up. Where we throw up hoods like Fort Hill (Eastside), Alphabet City, the 'Field, Greenbriar, The Westside ('round Lake Tobesofkee), The Southside, and the most hood, Unionville. Where we done rocked it all, from the J's to the Forces, from the tall Tee's to the Dickie suits and jumpsuits, way before anybody else did. Where the ladies got some 'hood in 'em, but know how to turn on that Southern belle charm when it's time. Where the ladies embody the meaning of "lady in the streets, freak in the sheets". Where the homies have you speaking with stutters in the morning from what they laid down the night before. Where the bouncers let you in the club with a blunt in your mouth. Where the whole Mac-town migrates to Fort Valley for one weekend for their homecoming and to Perry for the Fair. Where we used to hang out at Central City Park every Sunday night and holla at skeezers and the ladies used to roast the dudes who thought they were the shit, but were sadly mistaken.
