Add to My Profile | More Videos ------------------------Johnsha was different from most Southern rappers because he only listened to east coast rappers such as Rakim, EPMD, Wu-Tang and his favorite; Canibus. Upon hearing Canibus' 1st album and the lack luster sales Johnsha began to utilize his gift as a battle rapper along with his silliness and a natural of making commercial songs to make a style no other artist acquired. After a stint in the Air Force Johnsha came back to Macon and to the shock of everyone that knew him, he destroyed every battle competition with ease. One night after he won his 13th week in a row, the host of the battle show stated, "When Johnsha raps you know something bad is going to happen, you don't know what ,but you know something really terrible is about to happen to the competition just like Friday the 13th." Now he uses "13" as a metaphor for bad luck. "We all feel like we are plagued with bad luck that's why kids don't want to try anymore and are content with poverty and living on the streets day by day but hopefully through music i can reach some of them.As time passed and Johnsha matured, he started to notice the lack of talent in the music industry. "Now all you gotta do is sell drugs, use the money to pay off d.j.'s and mixtapes then you got a deal with a major. It's sad cuz majors don't want to make 'artists' they want to make a hit song and throw away the artist before the second album and start over again". 13 songs became more mature and thought provoking with each song. "The best feature about 13 is the passion you hear in every single line. He makes you feel where he's coming from whether he's talking about poverty or pleasing your woman and he has the ability to produce those big hits majors are looking for without compromising his identity."(witchdoctor from the dungeon family)Johnsha with his new name 13 started from the bottom up driving to Atlanta hitting every club trying to land a deal. Now CEO of Street Talk Entertainmet along with partners Johnny "Kassflo" Thomas and Curtes "C-Dawg" Consenza, he is ready to take the rap world by Storm!
