Layout made byCherokee National Anthem This land where we live was ever so green But since Columbus and ships were first seen Nearly eighty million of my people lie dead And the land where they lived was covered in red This was the Fall Of The People The trees became bare as the land was cleared For the fortresses built by those that we feared The air became foul and the water did too For the progress that they said was their due This was the Winter Of The People But our Mother the Earth will replenish Herself And regain Her beauty and reclaim Her wealth By natural disaster the land will come clean When the trees return and the fields turn green This will be the Spring Of The People It took but four hundred years to destroy Centuries will pass before we can enjoy If given half a chance to live free once more We'll re-learn our culture and even the score This will be the Season Of The People ~ ~

Shot at 2007-06-25Legend of the Cherokee Rose(nu na hi du na tlo hi lu i)When the Trail of Tears started in 1838, the mothers of the Cherokee were grieving and crying so much, they were unable to help their children survive the journey. The elders prayed for a sign that would lift the mother’s spirits to give them strength. The next day a beautiful rose began to grow where each of the mother’s tears fell. The rose is white for their tears; a gold center represents the gold taken from Cherokee lands,
and seven leaves on each stem for the seven Cherokee clans. The wild Cherokee Rose grows along the route of the Trail of Tears into eastern Oklahoma today. The Cherokee Rose became the Georgia State Flower in 8-18-1916

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. because in a way, they are teaching you to love & how to open your heart & eyes to many things.Make everyday count. Appreciate every moment & take from those moments everything you could possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before & actually listen... Let yourself fall in love again, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right too. I am me. I am flawed and I am broken. I am an individual. I have more likes than I do dislikes. I don't have the need to surround myself with people to mask my own imperfections. I am comfortable with having more than one best friend that shares my thoughts and finishes my sentences. I like to experience new things and learning a bit about everything. I am simple. I am addiction to coffee and love watching the snow come down or just sitting in a quiet spot. I despise fake people and drama-queens. I appreciate honesty even at the expense of my own feelings. I love music. I sometimes speak my mind without thinking first. I have many dreams. I think alot. I am layed back and real. I am loyal to those that are loyal to me. I am passionate, witty and bizarre, maybe a little on the crazy side, but a heart of gold. My signature random and mostly inappropriate humor is what defines me. I'd rather discuss ideas than people. Unsure of my destiny. I love my Children. I know there are alot of you out there, some who will read this and some who will not that have touched my life. To you, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for dealing with my imperfections and accepting me for who I am and who you knew I truly was underneath. If any of this applies to you, or conjures a bad memory, I'm sorry, but for now I will go with my heart instead of my head..Coming to terms with a lot of kind things I have done over the years really defines me. I hope somewhere people can look past all of the negativity or the postively and understand that people do make changes. Happiness comes from within. If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life?I want to meet people that aren't judgemental Someone who is honest and trustworthy Not materialistic Someone to love me for who and what i am for for what they want me to be.Someone who looks for the inter beauty not the outer Some one to love me as i can love him Totally. I have Found that man and he is my world And i think God everyday i can be so lucky .

"There is no such thing as 'part-Cherokee.' Either you're Cherokee or you're not.It isn't the quantity of Cherokee blood in your veins that is important, but the quality ofit . . . your pride in it. I have seen full-bloods who have virtually no idea of the greatlegacy entrusted to their care. Yet, I have seen people with as little as 1/500th bloodquantum who inspire the spirits of their ancestors because they make being Cherokee aproud part of a their everyday life."

MySpace Codes Learn how to fly ! Please Read Body: Baby eagle could not understand the wind..... he didnt have any need to. If the wind had had something to say concerning baby eagle it would have go through mother eagle...........At almost 10 weeks old baby eagle had done very little for him self ever.......
Mother eagle brought his food regularly and on time to the nest. All baby had to do was open his beak to eat what sweet darling mother had built and take s cares of speaking of which , baby was beginning to feel a little hungry. Wondering where his mum was he looked around the nest for piece of leftover food from mothers previous trip. he could not find any match........... then suddenly baby felt familiar cast over the nest and he know mother was near.... here comes food but mother didnt seems to have any food with her .Nothing dangled from her beak as usual As the shadow grew bigger , it became clear that mother did not bring in any food with her. Could mother possibly have forgotten that it was dinnertime??
And then swoosh!! Before Baby could say mama he was out of the nest and dangling from mother beak. Ah thought baby maybe mama is taking me to where she see food ever day.i am old enough to look for my own food......... baby didnt realise that mother was flying up not down but even if he had realise , he probably wouldnt have thought anything of it. he had no ideal where mother goes to get food. But he was enjoying the flight. higher and higher and higher mother flew until baby unused the speed and distance, began to fell queasy. Then just as sudden as he was picked up baby was dropped. That right mother eagle dropped baby eagle, and watching him fall !! baby couldnt believe it.What could he possibly have done to desever being dropped from such great hieght by his own mother? how could mother be so wicked?? Am i going to die? Oh am going to die! why??And then just as quickly and sudden as he had picked and dropped and he was rescued Mother eagle dove under him and flew him safely back to the nest. Before Baby had a chance to ask why mother was off t bring dinner for him. That was the first of baby many flight lessons.mother eagle took him flying everyday without explaining without preparing him for when it would happen again. after a few similar drops baby learned to spread his wing and fly .
Mother didnt have to pick him up again or bring him his food anymore. The first time i heard the story of how the mother eagle teaches his son how to fly , i realise that tranning sometimes appears as if one cant face the future but as times goes on it will make life easyNative American India Best Quotes Quotes• Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. WwW.SparkleTags.Com• You might as well expect the rivers to run backward as that any man who was born free should be contented to be penned up and denied liberty to go where he pleases. We were taught to believe that the Great Spirit sees and hears everything, and that he never forgets, that hereafter he will give every man a spirit home according to his deserts; If he has been a good man, he will have a good home; if he has been a bad man, he will have a bad home. This I believe, and all my people believe the same.I am tired of talk that comes to nothing It makes my heart sick when I remember all the good words and all the broken promises. There has been too much talking by men who had no right to talk. It does not require many words to speak the truth. If the white man wants to live in peace with the Indian, he can live in peace. The Earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it.
