About Me

Halito Ikana, Hello friend... Sa Chahta, I am Choctaw. My one Grandma was full blooded Choctaw, and the other was part Menominee. I believe that it's not the amount of Native American in the Blood, but how much is in the heart. I will die Native American, and I will live according to my Heritage.I speak Choctaw, but I want to learn it more fluently. I am here to find Native friends which are my Brothers and Sisters, and any others who will treat me and this site with respect. I have One beautiful Daughter, Brandy Diane who is 22 and a Cath Lab Tech.I live in Mississippi, but I am originally from Wisconsin. I love Native American History, but, I don't just go for a good story, I look for the truth. I respect the Elders and the laws of our ancesters, and through this the Great Spirit will guide me in the paths I will walk. I also am a U.S. Navy Veteran. I was an Anti-Submarine Warfare Tech 2 Class, being part of the flight Crew aboard P3's. I have also made 2 Mediterranean Cruises on the USS Enterprise CVN-65. I have been around the World and back more times then I can Count. I also am a College Grad from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I Majored in Abnormal Psych, and minored in Criminal Corrections. I worked several years with the Dept of Youth Services in WI. but got burnt out.So, there you have it. If theres anything else you want to know, I guess you will have to ask. Peace
