Discovery is my interest.
And then there's M u S i C.
I'm a spiritual person - but I always strive to take it one step further. You can find me at a sweat lodge, a logic seminar, parachuting, night-riding, in a classroom, in a music studio, on a stage, or staring into the depths of a noun with pen and paper. I am always fully present.
I'm an adventuress - a bit of an adrenojunkie: hobbies such as skydiving, motorcycling and ocean kayaking. I have an '02 Triumph Bonneville America. Me likes. Gave my snowboard away--too hard on me ankles. (gettin' old aint for sissy's)
I'm a published author -- so yeah, I like to write. Generally dark & esoteric. Mostly songs. Also enjoy sketching. The quintessential arteeest, eh? hehe! Naw. I have been blessed to have made a living with my voice. I sang in a popular T40 band for 12+ yrs. and have done lots of studio work, a plethora of original projects, and released my solo CD a couple years ago. Let's see....
I really like to learn. Voracious reader. When I was growing up, I had read all the books in the house, so I resorted to reading the encyclopedia's and all of my dad's Time/Life books. Perhaps this is why I scored high on my IQ? Hmmmm. I have gone to school a lot and basically have a lot of useless certificates and a BA in psychology. My goal is to get my masters &/or ph.d in said field so that I may work with children in a more one on one, clinical type setting. I am passionately driven to help children. I experienced the darkness - and was lucky enough to find my way back to the light. And now I am compelled to help children in any way I can. I believe there is a gateway back into the light wherein at the right moment a child can walk back through it and find their way - I can think of nothing that would honor me more than to help guide that child.
My greatest passion is Jaden Scott Nicholas Just-- my beautiful and brilliant one year-old son. He is my greatest interest, discovery, hobby, teacher, sight, sound, smell, touch, miracle. He has taught me love on a whole new plane of existence - and I am profoundly grateful. My little precocious one...
What creature of darkness are you?
You're a witch ..... you know spells and use them often. You have friends but no one knows who you truly are.
You're saying:Don't mess with me or I'll cast a spell on you.
a question I cannot answer in short because it continually evolves and expands...
MUSIC:
I like making music. I like playing music. I like recording music. I like singing to music. I like writing music. I like listening to music. I like to play shadow drums to music. Yeah - I like music.
A lot.
MOVIES:
Spitfire Grill,The Cure Schindler's List, The English Patient, Friday (riotous!), LOTR's, To Kill a Mockingbird, Color Purple, Never Ending Story, Heaven and Earth, X-Men, Breakfast at Tiffany's, any Hitchcock and countless more. I find myself watching more indies than anything else these days--when I have time.

T.V.: I'm {ironically} fascinated with Bravo's reality shows Project Runway and Top Chef. (I can barely sew on a button, and I'm an "ok" cook, at best). I think it must be the creativity. I generally detest 'reality' television. Let's see....Intervention, Gene Simon's Family Jewels, Heroes, Biography, Charmed, L & O, Earl, etc. I was completely obsessed with American Chopper--but I didn't win the contest, so I boycotted the show. [j/k!] Umm--I really don't watch too much TV, but when I do it's A&E, Discovery, Geography, TLC, IFC. Sometimes I watch whatever Scott's watching--which is mostly NASCAR and court TV. Moreover, whatever JADEN'S watching: which is educational--albeit in cartoon form! Cliche as it is: I try not to subject my son to too much television--as I believe it's more important & way more fun to spend time together playing and learning and learning and playing!
BOOKS: I am a readaholic. I love - love - love - books! ***see blurb in 'General' *** I'm generally reading a few books at a time. Enjoyed Prince of Tides, Memoirs of a Geisha, Tuesday's with Maury, Ethics for the New Millennium, The Call of the Wild, All Men Are Brothers, Collected Works Of Mahatma Gandhi and countless others. I read Patterson and Cornwell most frequently. But I like the classics too: Steinbeck, Orwell, Salinger, Hemingway, Faulkner, etc. I love E.A Poe, too: "...I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand -- How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers to the deep, While I weep -- while I weep! O God! can I not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God! can I not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream?."
HEROES: I have spiritual heroes. I have intellectual heroes. I have animal rights activists heroes. I have athletic heroes. I have musical heroes. I have historical heroes. I have people who were the first to do something significant for the betterment of mankind heroes. I could go on - you follow?....
