.. Myspace Layouts + Myspace GraphicsWelcome to my space, I’m Jamie,I come from Scotland,and have lived in New Zealand for the last 20+yrs......... I played in several bands thru the 70’s and 80’s,around Britain,and had the privilege of playing with people of whom I have the utmost respect such as Danny Ellis and Nigel Holton( Eversound.com),Roy Baker(true genius),Richard Bloom,Martin Hesse,Clive Wright(Cock Robin),Iain McKinna(www.offbeat.co.uk),and more recently,Tom Bailey(Thompson Twins,International Observer).Iain McKinna and I were contracted for publishing with E&S Music(Simon Cowel,of "American Idol").I make songs for the Love of it.My only ambition is to be as honest and sincere in my songs,and to open up my Heart.Don’t want approval,don’t want anything but to share my expressions as a human being experiencing life with Self Knowledge.Inspired by the ever-incredible revolutionary,Prem Rawat(aka Maharaji)I do my recordings in a corner of my lounge,often with life buzzing around me,kids,dog,in a space I call Perihelion,an sm58,a pod,acouple ofguitars,and a pc.So this is very much home made...With Knowledge and Love we can create the world we KNOW we were meant to enjoy.This is possible now,like no other time in history.So I offer my feelings of awe and wonder to anyone who is interested to share with me, and to add something positive to the Universe..In this spirit I write my songs and send them out to who-knows-where.Feeling my way. The songs are simple,and less than perfect...,but I hope they convey a little of the feeling of gratitude and joy I feel when I think about being alive,and what a miracle that is.And sometimes,the feelings of longing when I feel my thirst growing,for that unique and singular substance,The-One-called-by-many-names.Feeling beyond words.Peace within. I am not performing live at the moment,and am not pursuing a musical career.I love to sing my heart out,I love writing songs and recording them,and I think some of them are worth sharing. I hope you enjoy your visit.
