About Me

Hey everyone. I'm Nick Lauria. I make music and movies. I like booze, drugs, girls, and Star Trek. I wish it were still 1994. If you want to talk to me, my AIM name is radiolapse. I don't know what it means either.

P.S. I don't have a "Top 8." I think it's stupid.

My Interests

Hanging out, listening to music, making music, listening to music that I made. The occasional videogame indulgence. Driving around pointlessly, exploring. Sleeping.

I'd like to meet:

Santa!!!!!

Music:

Anything that's not country. Or rap. Actually, old school rap is awesome, Grandmaster Flash, Public Enemy, etc. Rock, any kind. Prog, classical, jazz, electronica. I like Genesis, Audioslave, theNEWDEAL, Porcupine Tree, Debussy, Peter Gabriel, Soundgarden, Miles Davis, Nine Inch Nails, Kevin Gilbert, Spock's Beard, Herbie Hancock, little kids singing, King Crimson, Floyd, and a bunch of stuff no one's ever heard of.

Movies:

The Bourne flicks, the Bond flicks, The Matrix, Dodgeball. I equally enjoy Star Trek and Star Wars, but Star Trek is better. Ocean's Eleven. Almost anything.

Television:

Comedy Central and [adult swim]. The usual Trek serieses, Mr. Show, Family Guy, The Sopranos, Space Ghost, Everybody Loves Raymond. Except me.

Books:

I used to love to read until high school made me hate it. I usually read humor novels (if I can call them novels), stuff by Dave Barry, George Carlin, and the OLD Dennis Miller. Chris Rock's writing is better than his stand-up. He's a genius. And of course, Harry Potter. It's really an excellent series, and it doesn't belong in the children's section. If you find yourself laughing in response to that, then you're a d-bag. And that's about as far from b-tip as we can get.

Shakespeare ain't got SHIT.

Heroes:

Apply within.

Check this out.

If you have three minutes, I suggest you check out the "video" that accompanies OK Go's song "Here It Goes Again." I guess being a former show choir member, it appeals to me more than it would otherwi...

Autumn Blues (Important)

I guess, as the summer draws to a close and the school year sets back in, some people's "fall depression" takes center stage. I know this. I've been aware of this for years, and it's something we...

I stopped reading The Da Vinci Code

And it's not because I'm a devout Christian conservative. I just got lazy. I'll resume it soon. I promise. Shut up.

Two FUCKED UP dreams

Ok, so just before I woke up this morning, I had two really FUCKED UP dreams. I don't know what fueled them. Maybe it was the fact that last week can be officially declared The Week From Hell as I str...

Saturday Night Fever

So six found its way down to three. Jon's great-grandmom isn't doing too well, so those of you who pray...you know. Eddie was too far away from where we were to meet up. Shane, as expected, spent the ...
