how can we learn if we're using our knowledge all of the time?

About Me

I used to be a hand model before a tragic encounter with a gaggle of wild geese left me mangled from the elbow down. I'm so kidding!! hahahaha! (but seriously, how the hell else am I going to get you to read this inadequate substitute for your first first impression of me? hmm?)
Here are the GRITTY details:
1) I'm left-handed. This means all sorts of things to me.
2)I have an insatiable lust for performance art of these kinds:
a. acting
b. dancing
c. DJing (drum & bass and more recently techno and house)
d. singing
e. intentional public self-humiliation through senseless and absurd behavior
3) I cannot find an explanation for why sales clerks, after you have given them money, impatiently hold your change in front of your face, arm completely extended, when you're clearly still gathering your purchases in the bag, many times when no one is in line behind you. This is a disservice to everyone involved: the clerk's arm tires from extending for an unnecessary period of time, and the customer feels rushed and unwanted. Lose lose all the way.
4) My vices have all abandoned me: they no longer bring joy, and thus I have let them go. Unless you count trident gum, green tea, and Propel as vices.
5) And there's more I'll write later...linkzzzzzzzzzz1:

bassheadz productions
dc productions

My Interests

fine art, good art, trying to stay edumacated, democracy, protecting what little sanity i have left, social psychology, alternative medicine, physical activity (running, biking, skiing, dancing, skipping, falling, laughing too hard) calming down, discovering paradigms, classroom learning environments, large bodies of water.

I'd like to meet:

adorable kittens.

....and...

you, if you think you're a good person to meet.

i like people of strong character who can distinguish what they want from the people around them, can teach me things, have a sense of humor, take life in stride, follow passion, are self-reliant, and/or think i'm awesome.

Music:

drum & bass, synthy rock stuff, glitchy dance, minimal house, funky clicky stuff, distorted beautiful stuff, appreciated artist sampler: dom & roland, klute, mampi swift, bassline smith, radiohead, blondie, worldwide audio recordings, beck, beastie boys, evol intent, green velvet, the muse, metric, air, the faint, nu:tone, ram trilogy, david bowie, bingo!, aphex twin, NIN, joel mull, deee-lite, gorillaz, chemical brothers, adam beyer, imogen heap, miss kittin. "music is the key."

Movies:

christopher guest's, miyatsaki's, spike jonze's, terry gilliam...any movie that makes you think someone integral in the creative process is insane.

Television:

mostly by interweb because i'm not home before 10pm EVAR, but: sopranoes, scrubs, the daily show + colbert report hour of hilarity, six feet under, arrested development, project runway, heroes, the office, the sarah silverman show, 30 rock, anything hilarious and absurd, or painfully colorful and trendy will do.

Books:

i'm always up for recommendations. fiction is mainly what i'm looking for.

Heroes:

i generally admire stoic people because i am the opposite. the grass is always greener....
