The Stores are always hard working to deliver a cool and neatly dressed rock n roll show packed with spitting, sweating and smoking. These tree lads have after three years become quite a phenomenon in the underground of the western parts of Denmark, but have also had air play on a couple of Danish radio stations and on the American radio show "The Ben & Heather Show", who cover most of the US. In December 2004 The Stores recorded the self-titled EP which achieved 5 M's on Mymusic.dk, "Track of the Day" and "Track of the Week" on Garageband.com and a position in top 3 in the "KIAC Big 50" at Independentartistcompany.com.In March 2006 was the year when The Stores signed their first record deal. The label they signed with was Warfare Records, a small and very independent label from Aarhus, Denmark. And spring was still young when they released the debut EP: “You have Four Buttons on Your Jacket, I only have threeâ€. This is what itsatrap.com wrote:"Garage-rock with a touch of blues and surf guitar, 'cept unlike most bands this is done right. The Stores are raw and dirty. They've got fire. They've got swagger. They also have plenty of guitar heroics. What more do you need?"Musically The Stores are inspired by the rock tradition of the 60's, like early The Who, Kinks, Small Faces and The Ventures. But the punk scene of the 70's and 80's with bands like The Stooges, The Clash and The Smiths also inspires for a sound that hasn't been heard since. The Stores have from all this induced to bring their own sound which lies somewhere between the madness of Bob Hund, the noise of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the sloth of The Libertines. You will for sure be surprised and delighted by The Stores' sublime compositions and flair for detail. The Stores will alternately fascinate you and demand your attention as they conquer the stage with their hectic though charming performance.
