From Our Minds To Reality (a brief KONSEPT bio)
KONSEPT started as just that ... a concept ... an idea. An idea that involved a movement away from mainstream and back to a more selective look. We feel like the future of both sneakers and fashion in general is heading towards a more unique and defining look. One in which there are literally tons of smaller companies all creating their own unique niche yet somehow all connected to one another in the movement to get away from just one or two companies dominating an entire market.
As of right now, KONSEPT is run by three people. Natalie Eugene (Owner/Head of Design), Nate Hill (Co-Owner), and Brice Kennedy(Chief Designer). However, our dream is that one day in the future ALL of our customers will help contribute and join us in running the company as our idea of KONSEPT is one in which everyone is involved but in the mean time we feel that each of us has something different and unique to add which is why we feel that together the three of us can do great things. Here at KONSEPT we're focused on creating a relatively small number of Limited Edition sneakers and clothing. The reasoning behind this is because we see the Limited Edition segment as the one in which individuals are striving for their individuality and trying to set themselves apart from the crowd. At the same time we realize that most Limited Edition companies only claim to fame has come from the fact that they charge exorbitant prices on their merchandise. Here we feel we can accomplish the same goal, if not exceed it, without the use of those ridiculous price tags. Our goal isn't to so much take over the world by domination but rather by inspiration to others. We hope that we can make a difference, we hope that we inspire others to get out there and create their own individual companies, and we hope that the idea (or KONSEPT) of our differences being the thing that makes us unique and special is realized by everyone.

We've observed that people are willing to pay a large amount of money for shoes they consider to be LIMITED EDITIONS ...
We then asked the question about WHY people were willing to pay a large amount of money for something they considered a LIMITED EDITION ...
Next we predicted that instead of people spending a large amount of money on LIMITED EDITIONS people would prefer spending only a moderate amount of money for their LIMITED EDITIONS ...
The remaining part of our theory is for us to test out our predictions and then ask further questions based on the test results – which we will update on here from time to time. We'll then have to keep repeating the test and questions part until we feel like we've improved our theory enough (which will probably take us quite a bit of time) to where we’re satisfied that it can no longer be improved on.
So we're going to test our prediction as follows:
1.) We're going to sell LIMITED EDITION shoes … (note: by LIMITED EDITIONS we mean we'll sale 500 pairs (or less) worldwide per each color-way)
2.) And we're going to sell our LIMITED EDITIONS shoes for a reasonable price; seeing that most LIMITED EDITIONS sell for $100 or more we've decided on sticking to what we consider the average price for most sneakers at major shoe retailers today, $65.
In the end our theory may be a little bit flawed because along the way we're going to obviously gain some life-long supporters/friends and because of that we don't plan to treat them like just any ole customers. We're going to start by taking care of them and making sure that they're always taken care of ... whether that be free shoes from time to time or even more LIMITED EDITIONS strictly for those we consider family at a discounted price. Who knows? The sky is the limit. But we will start off like this ... we want everyone to know that who is there for us in the beginning is who we'll be there for in the end. We're not saying we won't care about everyone who comes along afterwards, but we want to make it clear that those that are here in the beginning are going to be those that were the pioneers with us from the absolute start. We're going to start off by doing pre-orders.
Anyone that orders their first pair(s) during this time is who we're going to immediately look after. The price for pre-orders will be the same price now as it will be later at the official launch at the end of April / beginning of May ($65). However, those that order during the time we designate for taking pre-orders have faith that we won't let you down and delight in the fact that from here on out you will never have to pay more than $50.00 for our sneakers ... that will be our gift to you and our way of saying THANK YOU for being there with us from the beginning. Other than that we feel our theory will work out just fine.
