CISCO ROBLES - PERFORMER, MUSICIAN, PRODUCER, AND SONGWRITER
Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1956, Cisco began singing in church and playing guitar at age 11. Due to his exposure to Folk, Rock, R&B and Jazz, his style of playing became a creative mixture of these styles. By age 17, he had played in numerous local bands, including a fusion band he formed that included musicians: Cecil McBee, Jr. on bass, John Lawrey on drums, and the late Kenny Kirkland on keyboards.
Shortly thereafter, Cisco joined a R&B group called “The Philadelphia Story” where they traveled and became a regular fixture on the Minneapolis, Minnesota, music scene in the 1970s. The same scene as Prince, Alexander O’Neill, and Morris Day.
Cisco then moved to Los Angeles, California, where he played with numerous R&B bands before becoming the guitarist for a local Reggae band called “Jah Moon,” founded by Reggie Butler, who played with Jimi Hendrix during Hendrix’s Cafe Wah days. Jah Moon played regularly at local festivals and concerts including, The Trabuco Canyon Earth Day Festival and at the 1984 Olympics.
Cisco then moved on to play on various musical projects. One for Ralph Johnson (drummer from Earth, Wind & Fire) and another for Douglas Gibbs appearing on Walter Jackson’s album, “The Meeting,” originally sung by Howard Hewitt. He also did production work at Marvin Gaye’s studio in Hollywood.
In the mid-1990s, Cisco started Hurricane Productions where he worked with numerous up and coming R&B and Rap artists for Groove TV. In 1995, he became the Vice President for an independent Rap label called Sirus Records. He also served as the musical producer, writing and arranging the music.
In 1999, he decided to return to a more traditional Rock style collaborating with his wife, Chaeya. They released her CD “The Quickening” in 2002 on their own private label, Electric Gentlemen Records.
In 2004, Cisco met with Steve Muñoz of Kill-Her Taco, and produced his debut CD “Goin’ Fish’n.”
From 2002 to the present, Cisco has been a regular fixture on the Orange County Blues circuit playing with a number of local groups, and has written, performed and produced his debut album called “Tipsy Gypsy,” named in memory of his friend, Robin, who died in 2005 of lung cancer. Robin once owned a clothing store in Huntington Beach of the same name.

James Musser Guitar Rings
James Rocks! He is the man when it comes to telling you true and helping you get where you need to be. His heart is definitely in the right place. For you slide players, he makes prima rings, so make sure you go and check him out at the link below.
Media Services CD Replication - www.mediaomaha.com
Jim Pettid Rocks! He is the Vice President of Media Services. Even though we got our finished CD over to them late, Jim worked very hard to meet our January 18th deadline, getting our finished CDs to us a day early! Electric Gentlemen Records has been doing business with Media Services since 2003, and they have not failed to handle us in a very professional, friendly and fair manner. Our clients have been more than happy with their finished product. Also, kudos to Jamie in the graphics department. Jamie is very quick and dead on when creating your graphics. A few times, we had only an idea, and he was able to pull it together better than we expected. If you need CD replication services, they will more than please you.
Carvin Cudos
Manny Huerta, the store manager over at Carvin in Santa Ana, CA, is the Man!!! When my amp head blew out just days before the Taca Benefit for Autism gig, he kindly loaned me a new amp head. Thanks for saving the day, Manny!
Dunlop Strings
Les O'Connor over at Dunlop Strings took very good care of me at the 2007 NAMM show. He is a great human being, wonderful spirit, and a great family man with a beautiful daughter and son.
Xcel Drumsticks - www.xceldrumsticks.com
Rico Calderone hooked me up with some great drumsticks. If you're a drummer, give these sticks a try!
Awe-in-One - www.awe-in-one.com
John Leong over at Awe-in-One for the custom picks. These are great picks and they should be in all the Guitar Centers and Sam Ash's. These are the most versatile picks I've ever used. My number one choice in picks. You can use it for electric guitars and acoustic guitars. The triangle shape gives you three different edges (light, medium, and heavy) with a ribbed side to give you those wonderful harmonics! John can even do custom picks - I have my name on mine.
