My name is Will. The two major interests in my life are Music and the Ocean. I build classic tube guitar amplifiers, and I love the Blues. You can see my amps at www.odellamps.com. I really enjoy going out for live music, mostly blues, and I really enjoy it when one of my favorite artists plays one of my amps on stage. I have added some pictures of my Amps in my Photos section. (Note there is more than one page of photos). My day job is I design and sell Home Theaters and whole house control systems into high end new construction homes. Mostly in Orange County in the high buck planned communities. I was born in Monterey, California. I was kidnapped to Minnesota at the age of three and grew up there in Excelsior, Minnesota on lake Minnetonka. What a great life waterskiing every day and enjoying the lake life. I moved to Utah as soon as I graduated Minnetonka High and snow skied about 600 days during my college career, but still graduated with honors. B.S. degree in Marketing. My dad owned a Live New Orleans Jazz night club when I was a kid. (He also was a dentist). So, I started to listen to live music at about the age of 5, because they would bring us to the club some nights. And they would take us to outdoor concerts they promoted. It was called "The Emporium of Jazz". They were even serving New Orleans and Cajun style food way back in the '60's, long before it became a trend. My dad was also a major hi-fi nut, and all of this is what started me down the path to working in the audio business, and eventually building the guitar amplifiers I now manufacture. My career has mostly been in Electronics, including 13 years with Sony. I left the corporate world in 2003 to pursue turning my amp building hobby into a business. I'm really proud of the amps I build. Each one is a true sonic and aesthetic work of art. http://www.odellamps.com/Here are two Video clips of Vidar Busk of Guitarmeggedon playing one of my Odell Bluesmaster amps. He is the guy with the black strat next to Junior Watson. The first video is a short one with just Vidar soloing. Junior is playing a stratotone into a vintage Tweed Fender "FrankenPro". A pro amp on 4 10's. Pretty much an original of the amp I copied. Of course the Stratotone sounds a lot "rounder" and mellow than the strat. There are more complete videos available by clicking on "Video" near "pics" at the top of my profile.Vidar Busk Odell Amps Bluesmaster short demo

Add to My Profile | More VideosI have spent a lot of time travelling the world to dive with and film Sharks, Killer Whales, and Humpback Whales. I have had some amazing up close encounters. All marine shots in my pics section were shot by me, and are frames taken from the videos I have shot underwater. Those Orca's are 25 footers, and the big humpback is about 55 feet.Check out this video I shot on a pretty intense shark dive in Rangiroa, French Polynesia.
