Sometimes, life takes turns we could not anticipate and we find ourselves in places we never imagined we would be. The trick, I suppose, is to find a way to stop trying to make sense of how we got here, and figure out where we are going.
In the three years since my girl died, life has been interesting...you know, in the way of that ancient Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times." But also filled with love and kindnesses that sneak up on you from the most unexpected places. (Which is a nice, if bittersweet, counterpoint to the casual cruelty so often encountered where kindness ought to be.) We cannot stay at the bottom of the Rabbit Hole forever, and so we begin to make our way home. Home has changed and what was will not be. Stay tuned as we journey through the looking glass; there's no telling what we'll find there.
