A Hot Zydeco-Cajun-New Orleans Style Band!
HERE IT IS! The SPIRIT and FUN of Southwest Louisiana and of New Orleans MARDI GRAS in your own backyard!
For those of you that didn't get to the "Big Easy" for Mardi Gras, not to worry. Your party will come alive with Mo' Mojo as they take you on a musical voyage down to the bayous of Louisiana and the streets of New Orleans.
"What is Zydeco music?" you ask. Well, it's good old foot-stompin' dance music that originated in the French-speaking Creole culture of south-western Louisiana, featuring a unique blend of musical influences from blues and soul, Afro-Caribbean, and traditional Cajun music. Mo' Mojo combines French-style accordion, driving danceable drum beats, rock solid bass guitar, blazing electric guitar, and of course, the entertaining rubboard, or frottoir, to create the recipe for "music you just can't take sittin' down".
Having a party? Mo' Mojo will teach Zydeco dancing for newcomers or invite folks up on-stage for a rubboard contest. Whether you chose to dance the night away, play the frottoir with the band, or just sit back to enjoy this special brand of American music, you're guaranteed to have a great time.
