I am a person who tries to stay positive, happy, & busy.
I LOVE music, all types, even the XTreme metal that my son's band plays.
I have to have music around me everywhere, all the time. When I was a teen the only thing we had to listen to music portably were a little fm radio with a one mono earphone. And 8-track tape players in our cars.
Then came cassettes --remember people carrying around honkin' big boomboxes??? Then someone thought of being able to carry recorded music with you with a walkman. No.1 coolest creation.
Then, compact discs- No.2 coolest creation!! It took me a long time to convert to a CD player, but I did and have replaced almost all of my Vinyl with CDs.
The Ipod came next!! It is one of the best creations ever - No.3 coolest creation - I didn't wait as long to get one of those!!
Not much more to say except I wish all this technology was around when I was in high school. I am fascinated by all the great artistic possiblities available with the availability of computer programs with regard to expressing our creativity. Animation, digital imagery, digital music. . . it's mind boggleing - --- - and not so difficult to learn & use if you have the desire. I took one summer school class at MSJC back in 1999 & that was like opening a door to so many possibilities that I had never even considered before. It was one of the best little decisions I ever made.... One door that opened up many more...
