At a time when pop was dominated by dance music and hip-pop rock, Maxxx brought raw, ugly rock & roll crashing back into the charts. They were not nice boys; nice boys don't play rock & roll. They were ugly, sleazy, and violent... they were also funny, vulnerable, and occasionally sensitive as their break through hit "Spread Eagle" showed. With songs like "The Battle of Man" and "Spread Eagle" under their arms along with the hit album "MaXXX Rated" (which is being re-released in just a few weeks), Maxxxwell Maxxx and co. had the music world in the palms of their hands. While A.C. Devine and Mickey Maxxx ferociously spit out dueling guitar riffs worthy of Aerosmith or the Stones, Maxxxwell screeched out his tales of sex, drugs, and apathy in the big city...Well folks, they are back. Along with TJ Ripper on the ivories and drummer JT St. Sticks on the the old lamb skins, Maxxx is set to take over again. Maxxx's music is basic and gritty with a hard, bluesy base. They are dark, sleazy, dirty, and honest -- everything that good hard rock and heavy metal should be.
