Two guitars, bass and drums. The mighty Young Fresh Fellows dedicated a song to this immortal formula and the four guys in Biscuit have been faithful to it since they started playing together in 1989. Their first band, Blue Bus (which also included an organ player as the guys love the sound of a good old Hammond as well) folded in 1994 after causing a bit of a stir in the Spanish psych garage scene with an album and a few gigs all over the country. Thus, Biscuit was born. Since then, Biscuit have been busy recording three cds, an EP and a bunch of songs for compilations (see discography below) as well as playing wherever they have been invited to. Their last record, Time for answers, appeared in march of 2006 to a raving welcome both by critics (it was chosen record of the month by the prestigious Spanish rock magazine Ruta 66) and audiences. The music of Biscuit has been compared to the likes of the Jam, Soundtracks of our lives, The Hellacopters, The Prisoners or Australian band The Monarchs, but they prefer to simply label it rocknroll music and to the four biscuits that means everything from the Byrds and the Beatles to the MC5 or the Pretty Things. From power pop to hard rock and freakbeat, never forgetting black R&B as the primal foundation of (almost) everything they love to hear and play.
In the last few years, Biscuit have shared the stage with and deserved the praise of several top notch national and international bands including British sixties poppers Bronco Bullfrog, American hard rockers Mother Superior, garage-pop next-big-things the Boss Martians or even the recently gone and already missed Arthur Lee.
Already working in new songs for a yet unscheduled new record, Biscuit are concentrating most of their efforts in bringing their current song list (which includes songs from their various records as well as covers of Sam & Dave, The Brigands, AC/DC, the Stooges and Les Fleur de Lys) to audiences all over Spain and (soon, they hope) anywhere in the world where a good high energy rock show is appreciated.************************************************

[www.notomorrow.com]
