It was clear from the start that there was something special about Antonio McLendon. Born and raised in an inner city of Connecticut, Antonio showed precocious musical talent as a small child. Growing up in a musical family he was nurtured by traditional gospel music and cites musical pioneer Kim Burrell as one of his influences. However, Antonio also kept his ears open to secular R&B, Rock and Soul music and has been inspired by such diverse artists as Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Hendrix, and Musiq Soulchild, just to name a few. Antonio has since turned his daydreaming hobby into his career because singing had always been what he wanted to do. Antonio shows a poise and maturity rarely found in someone his age. He is the total package: a seemingly boundless talent matched by the desire to continually feed his creative fires and a self-awareness, rare in adults, let alone teenagers. Relying on his good looks and clever hooks, and armed with an arsenal of producers like Troy Oliver from Chocolate Factory, Antonio has been recording a slew of unreleased industry-insider favorites.The buzz has been steadily growing for Antonio's release. His expressive yet smooth, unconstrained and completely honest vocal abilities have been heard backing artists like Ginuwine. Antonio mixes up R&B with a hip-hop flavor and fierce beats. He is also an accomplished singer / songwriter and producer, penning many of the songs for his album himself including co-writing the hit single Bathwater with the multi-platinum songwriter Andre "mrDEYO" Deyo (Jenny From The Block). When he is not in the studio collaborating with producers, he is writing songs for other artists.
