Wife, Mother, Manager, Singer, Songwriter, next CEO of SONY MUSIC.....in that order..sorta.
I have always been a "dreamer" so to speak. My mother always said that I thought I could do anything.....and it's true, I do believe that.I grew up in the small town of Abbotsford, BC, Canada (yes I am Canadian and actually proud of it!). I come from what I consider to be the GREATEST family in the world. I am the youngest of 3 and I was pretty much oblivious to everything...which I think is why I believe that I can really accomplish anything I set my mind to. My childhood and teenage years were amazing. I loved my highschool (M.E.I), loved my friends, and actually loved being around my family.In grade 9 I got this crazy dream of wanting to become a singer, I thought I could be the next Mariah Carey (don't hate!). This was one of many dreams that actually stuck. I went on to cut my first demo in my Sr. yr of highschool, and figured the next thing I needed to do was move to NY! 1 year of University (went to specifically play basketball...never could get the school thing down...but I'm nice on the court!) and a summer in the berries (my sister and I ran my dads raspberry farm for many summers), I decided it was time to pack my bags and move to NY. And so the next stage of my life began.I boarded a bus and 3 days later (why didn't I fly, what was I thinking) I was in New York City....with no clue! Ahhhh, but here's where the determination part sets in. I was an 18 yr. old with a dream (my dream at this point developed into wanting to run SONY MUSIC...why not right!) and God on myside...that was all I needed. I ended up getting an intership at a major recording studio which I was NOT qualified for, but basically told the guy that I just wanted a chance to learn, I'd do whatever it took (pour coffee, pack boxes). He gave me my chance (Grace of God). At the job I met Tommy (now my cousin-in-law) who introduced me to my WONDERFUL HUSBAND, Jay (some people know his as Kenneth....he's just Jay...long story). God brought me the right person at the right time, and really, I wasn't looking. I am BLESSED to be married to someone who not only fully supports me but has the exact same goals and dreams as I do....isn't God funny like that, He always knows!Fast forward alot of years.....too many to count now. We were blessed with the most gorgeous little girl on the face of this earth ADRIANNA LOVELL MCLENDON (i'm a mother, i can do that now..but if you don't believe me, check her out for youselves go to my pics... you'll agree!).We have started a production company with Jay's cousins Tommy and Tai. I am now playing the "manager" role, which is something I knew I was always going to do. And I am happy to say that BLACKGOLD PRODUCTIONS had there first major signing with a publishing company overseas.This is really just the beginning for us.....and for me personally. Through all my years (specifically the last 10 because once you graduate you hit the "real world") I have really learned that if you truely put God first in your life and truely allow Him to lead you....and you're listening to His voice...well then you really can't go wrong, and you can really accomplish anything you set out to do......so I say this with all the belief in the world......SONY WILL BE MINE!
