Rust Written by Kirsten Greenidge, Produced by Magic Theatre, San Francisco 2006. Set Design: Matt McAdon, Sound: Tyson Fechter. “Kirsten Greenidge’s “RUST” is an intriguing, multi-leveled meditation on African-American success, identity and history…Myrick-Hodges and her strong cast make use of the theatre’s side exits, aisles, and myriad of music/sound cues…to a provocative, disturbingly beautiful effect….A stage expansive enough to incorporate shadow-play, multimedia…would help “RUST” realize its full potential.” – Variety Mother Courage & Her Children (Featuring Meryl Streep & Kevin Kline). My Interests

Movies:

I directed my first play when I was seven. Seriously. It was with my friend Jon Bell and I made him act out an entire Isley Brothers album. The one with the hit song 'Brandy' on it. It was also my first experience with producing. I charged my parents and our neighbors 20cents to see "the performance". In retrospect, as a director I had a very keen eye for talent! As a producer, I really should have charged 25 cents so I would not have had to make change for a quarter. Live and learn.
