About Me

Hey all I'm Ben. I'm 19 birthday parties old, and am a second-year student at IPC in Palmerston North majoring in Japanese. Life is great... busy at times, but I try to make the most of it. I'm no slicker than your average, but I do have a little something to say, and I make it known by the way I live. People are important to me, much more than things we own or stuff in our schedule. I believe if we simply attend to the things, we won't ever get to know the people behind them. While you are the only one responsible for the way you live, it affects everyone around you. Every little thing. So next time you're about to do something you shouldn't, think again and ask yourself if you really want to be cleaning up the mess for the rest of your life. I choose to make it known to the world that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour of my life, and I'm proud of that. That doesnt mean I'm gonna impose my beliefs on you, but it does mean you know where I'm coming from when I voice my opinion. I'm one for understanding why people believe what they do, cos everyone has the freedom to come to their own decision about what they believe. I won't judge you for what you believe, but I will explain why it is I believe what I do. Truth is not relative. Truth is truth. If you want to discover it you're going to have to sieve through a load of lies and propaganda that the media and activists create for their own agendas. Dont let compromise cause you to forget who you are and the knowledge of truth that has been placed in your spirit.

My Interests

I'm into music a fair bit... I play a bit of guitar, but have tried most instruments for a while. I love listening to music, watching movies with heaps of butter popcorn, giving a table-tennis ball a whack, and just chilling out and chatting with mates. Aside from that I chat a bit online (like most people do). Message me if you want my msn :p

A child in a third world country that has no understanding of the concept of hope.

Music:

I enjoy most music styles and try to appreciate all varieties, but there's still nothing like a good rock song. I've been heavily influenced by the music of such bands as Creed that ruled the rock scene in the years following the new millenium, but try to stay open to the new and fresh sounds being put out by the latest bands like Snow Patrol.

Movies:

Spiderman 1 and 2, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rush Hour 1 and 2, and so many more... and hey what about the Last Samurai, wasn't that one great? And Braveheart, and Titanic, and now my head is starting to burst!! Someday I wil get round to writing down all my favourite movies down here, but as long as busyness continues I will continue to put that off.

Television:

You can't go past Malcolm in the Middle - it's consistently awesome (when it's on TV). Other great shows include 24, Alias and Jag, Bones, Heroes, The Simpsons, Shark... Everybody Loves Raymond, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Fear Factor, Thunderbirds...

Books:

First and foremost the Bible. It's the number one bestseller of all time. Once again the Lord of the Rings gets a mention, and good old Pride and Prejudice. Hehe and A Fly Went By, from when I was a kid - Dr. Seuss was born on my birthday!

Heroes:

Pity the fool who doesn't list Mr T. on this list! Jesus Christ is my hero, he's saved more lives with one single act than any other superhero that has ever lived. Beat that :p
