Carl Carni's unique style is a blend of precision rhyming with intelligent lyrics and catchy punch lines. He first took to the mic in 95 MC-ing on pirate radio and at various Jungle raves in and around London under the name of Nice MC. After putting in the ground work, Carni was soon snapped up by Londons premier pirate radio station, Kool Fm. There, he was a resident for over 2 years MC-ing with the likes of Skibba, Dett, MC Shabba and Fearless, playing at some now legendary raves including Roast, Fever, One Nation and Telepathy.
But with the ever evolving landscape of the DnB scene, Carni felt the only way he could develop his talent as an artist would be to turn his hand to Hip Hop and to put in some serious studio time.
And in the studio is where he has been, for over three years honing and perfecting the raw talent he was blessed with.
Carl Carni's first offering, Londons Burning Chapter I is proof of all the hard work that has been quietly taking place behind the scenes. Although most of the backing tracks are well know tunes, Carni manages to leave his characteristic mark on them, with Hustlin Remix a fine point in case.
But lets let the music do the talking... ...Kapeeish?
