Holes and Hearts was co-founded by two young brothers, Riley and Casey.
THE NAME
We are often asked about the name and how it came about… so here is the story from the beginning.
Riley was born with a large hole in his heart which was discovered at the age of 2 months and was taken for a life saving heart surgery immediately upon his diagnosis to temporarily repair the problem until he was old enough to have major surgery . At 10 months old the Doctors decided it was time to try and fix the hole which would require Open Heart Surgery. The Surgeons were not able to completely close the hole due to the size and location. Riley continues to see Cardiologists on a regular basis…
From these life experiences at an early age, Riley along with his older brother Casey, have seen the compassion and possibilities of people who want to help others when they are in need. They have been inspired and driven by family, friends and complete strangers who in Riley’s words, “saved my life”, and they know 1st hand, the reality of how fragile life really is.
THE MUSIC
At the age of 10 Casey started playing guitar and hasn't been able to put it down since... He began jamming out covers to some of his favorite bands with Riley, then 9, and the chemistry was Electric. The boys played some local shows and parties with good friends and talented musicians from their school, Michael, Dylan and Luke and they always put on a High Energy and Rocking performance.
Riley who is now 10 and Casey who is now 11 decided that the two of them wanted to focus all of their time working together on writing New and Original music that is Heavy and Passionate. As Casey puts it, "We want to touch people and make them feel deeply with our words and bang their heads and shake their asses to our music” . They believe in themselves and their music and are continuing to write and practice and perfect their skills.
They are currently writing, rehearsing and recording New Songs and are known to sometimes perform impromptu acoustic sets at concerts, beaches and parties around the U.S.
