The Aeon Saga was formed in 2007 in Holyoke MA. Six young musicians came
together and shared a particular vision to not just write songs but stories
as well. The Aeon Saga's sound is distinctively Heavy, possessing
face melting heavy metal riffage coupled with bluesy/hard rock grooves,
married with the ambiance of piano, and classical/celtic interludes of
clean and pure tones.
Since The Aeon Saga's inception they have worked to refine
their sound and develop the songs note for note, beat for beat, yet always
maintaining the emotional drive that can carry the listener away.
With over 75 years of combined experience, each member has been involved
in various other projects, but never have they been able to combine Hard
Driving Rhythms, Dark and Vengeful Harmonies, Interweaving Melodies, Pure
Anger, and Unadulterated Love into one cohesive sound and concept until now.
In 2008 The Aeon Saga has taken the stage in force, and are always playing
a steady string of shows in the North East US, expressing their "orchestral"
writing style. The Aeon Saga have been compared to such bands as Tool and
Faith No More by their fans, and even a classical composer or two by their
peers. Perhaps this is all due to the evoking of emotions ranging from anger
and sadness to elation and excitement. Each change and phrase is like a page
turning, revealing an ever darker plot. The Aeon Saga plays with the
intention of moving their audience and giving them The Memory of a
performance that will never leave them. The Aeon Saga has already
produced a free promotional Demo, and will be going into the studio again
soon to record a 4 track EP, with more studio investments in the future. As
for these 6 young musicians, the story has just begun.
