Hi, I'm not a band, but rather a dude. I am a 32 year old guitar and bass player, I play by ear, like polyrhythms and varying from the beaten path. Music is more liking molding clay or playing with legos for me, sculpting phrases with your energy. I dig experimental music of all styles and can get into just about anything unique and fresh with preference for something a little "out there"...some dissonance as well as consonance- as in life, some sonic texture. Purge a vibration, let it permeate, build it up, and bring it down, ride the waves. ************************************************************ ************************************************************ * Started playing guitar at 13 after my big bro got an electric guitar. He's awesome!! Tried taking lessons, never really got into it when I could play my favorite songs by listening. Started up bass a few years later when my band couldn't find a bass player, and got really good. Focused back on guitar around '96 or '97 when I couldn't plug in, that's when I found my 5 string acoustic tuning...it just works for me. Took a little theory at HCC. Every time I try to learn keys and stuff, I go off on tangents and play with what I've learned through exploring. I think most of it would make sense theory-wise. ************************************************************ ******************************************************I am starting to work on some jams, writing bass and drum parts, then vocals to record into Cubase. I am posting some acoustic jams I recorded on my camera and some older jams from cassette. I'll post full songs once completed, writing and arranging are slow going right now and things have been crazy. I have about 90 tapes going back to 1997ish to edit and transfer to digital before the tapes go bad. It's my audio diary, every day would bring out new feelings, sounds, and patterns.
