If you ask Ayinde what he wants his audience to remember about him he will answer unequivocally ‘’The depth of the passion I put in my work and range of my character, I want them to really feel who I am’’ From DJ to spoken word artist, musician and now Actor Ayinde sees himself as a true renascence man of the new millennium.First discovered hosting an open Mic poetry night in Seattle Ayinde Howell A native of the small military town Tacoma, Washington had two written self produced and directed one man shows under his belt when he was cast as lead in his first feature length film. Ayinde has since appeared in numerous short films and a hand full of plays and now resides in New York City.Ayinde Howell multi talented performer began his career as a DJ at the age of 15. Becoming a successful club dj by the age of 19 he later moved to Seattle wrote his first poem which lead Ayinde into the world of spoken word Poetry. He along with friends formed the Urban.Scribes.Project a collective of poets actors and musicians Ayinde lead the group through many performances from Seattle to Vancouver, BC and San Francisco.Ayinde subsequently moved to Los Angles CA in pursuit of A new passion, music. After spending a year in LA and some small successes with his music project, Ayinde moved back to Seattle. While hosting the USP Open mic Verbal Tea, he was approached by Malik Issias to audition for the movie “Urbanworldâ€, first for a small role of a henchmen then was offered the lead role of Hakaan Kirkum.Upon wrapping Urbanworld Ayinde, still determined to make his mark as a musician he recorded his first LP under the Moniker American Hero, and moved to New York to peruse further music opportunities. Within several months of landing in gothem city and knowing no one, he landed the principal role in the Afro-punk indie film “White Lies Black Sheepâ€.Filmography
