Jay Harris on Guitar . Bluegrass is a new Genre for Jay, raised in the world of Rock and Roll like most of the Children of the 70s, He come to us with a lot of that style and yet like a kid in a candy shop hearing such greats, as Doc Watson, Tony Rice, and Dan Crary not to mention others for the first time he has a Great hunger to learn this style. He also has a great ear and can hear and sing harmonies well. Ben Sims can play just about anything you put in his hand, Yet the Bass is his baby. He is a music student in college and plays professionally in the Houston Area. He has won many awards for outstanding Bass Soloist in Jazz Bands both in High School and College. He also loves and understands Harmony singing and does it well. Laney Sims started out playing bluegrass with one of Bill Monroes old guitar Players, Danny Jones. in a band called American Heritage. He studied music at Sam Houston State University, and Grew to Love Bluegrass. He later picked up Fiddle, as well as Mandolin, Guitar, Kitchen Sink and even wacks at the banjo every once in a while. With a bat mostly. Together They make up Buffalo Nickel Playing a wide variety of old and new styles of Bluegrass, Jazz, Gospel, and What ever sounds good. Come out and see sometime we'll have fun.
