About Me

I manage The Sound Kitchen in Franklin, Tennessee. Grew up in the heart of the Delta, in Helena, Arkansas influenced mostly by blues and gospel. Decided to head to Nashville, to seek fame and fortune as a singer/songwriter at age 19. I toured for a few years with my band and always had a job working on Music Row during the week. I have managed artists, administrated publishing, etc...I started managing Ocean Way Nashville in 1999 working with artists in all genres of music. I left Ocean Way in 2005 and took over as studio manager at The Sound Kitchen. I have helped facilitate records that have sold approximately 75 million worldwide and have had the time of my life doing it. I cannot say I love one genre of music more than the other. As producer Fred Foster said to me, "If you label it, you limit it". To me great music is great music. If it moves you, it's good. I try to create a great place for my clients to come to and record. A home away from home. Check out the studio www.soundkitchen.com Get this FREE MySpace layout and more at MySpaceOrYours.net

My Interests

Collecting rare recordings, golf (I think I could become obsessed!) Great books and even better conversation

I'd like to meet:

Carlo Santana-never had the opportunity to work him. Would like just 15 minutes to sit and talk to him about that specific moment that he connected to spirit in such a peaceful and complete way and what lead up to that moment. Mother Teresa-she cornered the market on peace and compassion. Kristofferson- He is one of the main reasons I got into the music business. "Jesus Was A Capricorn" changed my life.

Music:

James House, Bob Seger (HE STILL ROCKS!), Angie Aparo, Colin Linden, Grayson Capps, every artists that has ever recorded with me.

Books:

As I Lay Dying-William Faulkner, East of Eden-Steinbeck

Heroes:

My grandmother, Barbara Boyce and Fred Foster (They are both why I do what I do). Sunshine Sonny Payne (KFFA Radio) and Lillian McMurray (a mentor and an inspiration)
