About Me

Hello friends, I feel it's time to start answering the myriad of questions that have been flooding into the Session Man offices from all the faithful readers out there.(1) Dear Session Man, this shit you write on here is the most pathetic cry for help I've ever seen in my life. You should be eternally thankful that anyone still hires you considering all those tired-ass licks you play over and over, yet all you seem to do is complain about Bad Producer Man, and Terrible Songwriter Man, and Terrible Songwriter Who Thinks He's A Real Player Man, in fact I was just talking to my friend ProTools Editor Man the other day and he said he has to spend HOURS sliding your lame shit around just to make it remotely usable in the track....face it, ya' got no soul Session Man. signed, Moved Here From LA Three Years Ago And Still Can't Get Any Decent Gigs Man.....................Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion sir, but if I had a dollar for every time I've heard someone say those exact words to me I'd be rich by now...don't you have any original thoughts of your own?(2) Dear Session Man, is there really an actual pedal called "Session Man"?.............. Sure, it was made by Ibanez back in the 80's, they also made one called "Demo Session Man" that was a little less dough(3) Dear Session Man, do you ever "throw down on the go down" as they say, and play a guitar solo on the actual rhythm track?............... I've tried it a few times but gave up after I realized that doing so requires Engineer Man to perform the seemingly impossible task of physically moving the fader to turn it up at the appropriate time to actually hear it during playback(4) Dear Session Man, I'm having a lot of trouble with click track bleeding through my headphones and being picked up by the mic when I'm playing acoustic, any suggestions?.............. Yes, try keeping your mouth closed....I learned that handy little trick from my dear friend Danny Dugmore Man(5) Dear Session Man, do you think this new "ProTools Mentality" of musicians abandoning everything they ever learned about delivering an ACTUAL PERFORMANCE that flows musically from top to bottom during a take ...choosing now to play disjunct "soundbites" that can be comped together later on playlist after playlist is the Death Of Music???............... Of course not, why would you think something like that???THANKS FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO SEND MORE AND STAY TUNED!!
