My names Thomas Jules and I'm a singer/songwriter. I currently live in the coolest place on the planet: Brighton!
I began performing at a very young age, and at just 16 I was signed to Mercury/Polygram; I released 2 singles and supported the Backstreet Boys on their European tour, which was such an amazing experience for me.
A number of things lead to me leaving my record deal, and now at 18 my musical tastes had developed and I got into the underground music scene listening to Jungle, Drum'n'Bass, Garage & Hip-Hop. This lead to me becoming an MC, and soon after I was performing in clubs all over London. This is where I met fellow MC's Dan & Jamie, who later became members of the band I created '3rd Edge'.
In 2000 we were signed to EMI/Parlophone and released our first single 'In and Out'. The single reached No.15 in the UK charts. We went on to release a second single 'Know you Wanna' which was also a top 20 hit. We supported the Sugababes and performed in two Smash Hits! tours and on the Blues and Soul tour. As well as numerous TV appearances including TOTP and CD:UK. We were released from our deal in 2003.
I then took some time out from performing and satrted concertrating more on songwriting. I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing writers, and a recent collaboration lead to one of my songs being placed with Simon Webbe (Blue), which can be found on his 2nd solo album, 'Grace'.
I am currently still writing with different writers and producers on tracks both for my solo career and to pitch to other artists. .
