It's all about Hip Hop and R'n'B when I'm playing out at the moment but back in the day I was a pure garage head to the bone. Played for various promoters with Twice as Nice, Exposure and Sintillate amongst them. I listen to a wide range of music when I'm behind closed doors. Sittin right at the top as my personal favourite artist has to be D'angelo. Can listen to the man in any mood I happen to be in. Got a lot of other influences in my musical world though. In no particular order some of the top peeps are Angie Stone, MJ Cole, Red Hot Chili Peppers, India Arie, Glenn Lewis, Chris Brown, Jill Scott, Leftfield, Portishead, Jack Johnson, Basement Jaxx, Lucy Pearl, Radiohead, dwele, Tom Petty, Macy Gray, Roachford, Moby and the obvious still need a mention, Missy, Busta, Neptunes, Snoop, Method........... The list goes on and on and on but there's more than enough to give u a taster. Also love a little breakbeat when the time is right and I'm still bang into my old school garage as well. All the original Todd, Confetti, Tuff Jam, Groove Chronicles, New Horizons and the like. It will never die. Don't really get to play it out much any more but the neighbours still get to hear a little bit. ;-D Still love a bit of drum and Bass on a night out when I get the chance too. That's where my love of DJing all began so it'll probably always be so.
Pretty much everything that's been released in the last couple of years cause I lived with a film addict. Predictably, a lot of it's been average and a bit of a waste of time but a few amongst them were really good films. Matrix trilogy is an obvious one but it really was the nuts! 50 first dates is a really feelgood film and House of Flying Daggers is absoloutley wicked. Team America has to be one of the funiest films I've ever seen too. It's so on my level of humour.
Don't watch too much really, Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Frasier, and anything to do with Ricky Gervais.
Don't read nearly as much as I should do but anything I do get my head stuck into is normally on recomendation so I'll go through a good book in a couple of days if it catches my attention. Sci fi if it's well written and also any good non fiction history is usually what I'd go for.
My Ickle bro - needs no explanation for those that know him. Swing - for anyone that was lucky enough to know the man, nothing else needs to be said. An amazing talent and as honest and true as any man I've ever met. Legend R.I.P.
