About Me

http://www.myheritage.comLet us begin by saying that I am a multifacted character, but certain subtleties have a way of shining through each stage of my life; subtle as a sledgehammer some might say. My work, my passions, and my aspirations - they are usually one in the same. So when I tell you that I've worked with children, I've tutored in math and science and reading, I have taught Martial Arts, I have done professional Technical Theater, I have worked for many years at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and am now a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, it can be easily summarized that I like working with people and enjoy exploring the many avenues that life and love have to offer. And, as any great adventure must be experienced, I also enjoy the art of story-telling, which brings about my love of the arts. So, the nitty-gritty: I have trained in Aikido, Judo, Tai Chi, Kenjitsu, Kendo, and Karate (in experience order, the first being the most prominent). I've also become quite a fan of Yoga in the past few years and recommend it highly. However, I will mention I am highly out of shape, and will make no claim as to my actual skill level. In the meantime, I've taken to involving myself further in the Browncoat 'verse *YAY!* and also in event coordinating (mostly receptions for the American Balalaika Symphony at this point, but I've also recently finished producing my first short film that was entered into the Baltimore 48 Hour Film Festival) If I've missed a major topic, do feel free to inquire further - questions are a great way to start a conversation, and I'm always up for a good conversation!

My Interests

Yes... There's very little I haven't at somepoint expressed an interest in. From firearms to modeling, calligraphy to Martial Arts, Feng Shui to SciFi, comic strips to Environmental Issues, nature to space travel, theoretical physics to the psychology of sex, the phenominom referred to as LOVE to the rippling effects of education in America. Is that enough, or do you want more? ;-)

I'd like to meet:

Create Your Own!MY FELLOW BROWNCOATS! And, of course, potential Browncoats ;-) In a dream world, that I'm slowly making a reality, I'd like to meet the rest of the Firefly/Serenity crew: Adam Balwin, Gina Torres, Ron Glass, Alan Tudyk *YAY!*, Sean Maher, Morrena Bacarrin, Jewel Staite, and, of course, SUMMER! Among some others, I'd love to meet Robin Williams, authors: Robert Asprin, Neil Gaiman, and Terry Pratchett, and maybe Whoopi Goldberg, too. 'Cause you know us Karens have to stick together ;-) ... movingrightalong... I often get groups together to go see movies, so I'd love to find more people who want to go with us - we usually go Friday nights to Tysons AMC (the new one). So, drop me a line if you'd like to join us! Our groups thus far have been anywhere from two to ten people, so be prepared for anything!
