My Interests

Embed this banner in your page msprm name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_wLfkNiEhXU" ....Music, Music, Music. My greatest joy is seeing live shows. If I could afford it, I'd be at a concert every night. I've also been collecting records/cd's since I was about 12. My passion is my favorite artists from the 80's, but not just the old hits that still get played on the radio. I'm really interested in what everybody is up to NOW. Horror movies are another favorite of mine, and reading horror novels, too (even if some of my friends think reading is "weird"! Big Star Wars fan, too...not all Sci-Fi, just Star Wars.A day at the beach is another favorite way to spend a day. All I need is some good music, the sun on by body and the spray of the ocean. Of course, by the time Summer is here, I'll be complaining about the heat!

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting other 80's pop music freaks! It's always fun to meet like-minded people. Always on the lookout for that someone special, too. These are my friends Shitting Glitter. Their brand new e.p., "Sidesaddle Sweet Talk" is out NOW! It's got some new tracks along with mixes of "Slut Buffet" that are already burning up dance floors in Los Angeles. They are the nicest bunch of people you could ever want to meet. Their music is a mix of electro, rock, new wave and punk. They also throw great parties and clean bathrooms very well! The top pic is on the set of their "Moustache Rides" video, the other pic is me and the band in front of the fantastic "Beauty Sleep" B&B (that's bed & beer!)on tour in Portland.Watch out for the new cd from pop icon EG Daily. If you think you don't know who she is, think again. You know her from 80's films like Valley Girl, Better Off Dead and Pee Wees Big Adventure. Or maybe you know her music- "Say It Say It", "Mind Over Matter" and "Love in the Shadows" were big club hits. If you still don't know who she is, how 'bout voices on The Powerpuff Girls, Rugrats, Babe: Pig in the City and much more. Her new cd "Changing Faces is out soon!

Music:

Amy Winehouse at the Roxy Mika at the Troubadour Simply Red at the Virgin Megastore EG Daily at Three of ClubsI haven't posted any concert pics for a while, so here's a few blasts from the past: That's Dead or Alive's Pete Burns signing my records after a show in Orange County in the mid 90's Missing Persons Dale Bozzio, another 90's show in the OC This is a picture that I have been trying to find for quite a while and just found yesterday. British Singer/songwriter Kirsty MacColl was killed in a boating accident a few years ago so this photo of her and I after a rare US show at the Coach House is a real treasure to me.Pet Shop Boys at the Wiltern Tiffany celebrates Halloween in West Hollywood Scritti Politt made their first ever US appearance at the RoxyBefore the Scissor Sister's show at the Shrine, my friend Robert and I had a chance to meet the band, hang out a bit and take some pictures. Robert, Paddy Boom, Babydaddy, me Ana Matronic Jake Shears Del Marquis and one more with Babydaddy! With Robbie Williams The Go-Go's live in Newport! With Josie Cotton With Jody WatleyStacey Q! This is their first ever tour with a full band and no synthesizers. It was an absolutely amazing show AND I got to hang out with the guys backstage after the show! That's me with Jeppa from Junior Senior at the opening night of "Budoir Du Burlez" Casey Stratton made a rare appearance in LA at the Hotel Cafe. Check out his new cd "Divide". Susanna Hoffs and Matthew Sweet brought the sounds of the 60's back to the RoxyOn March 23rd I went to see The Sounds and Morningwood. Both bands were great but The Sounds were just out of control. For me, their music is the perfect mix of synths and guitars and each song sounds like an anthem. Here's a few pics of Maja leading her band through a fantastic set:The very sexy Goldfrapp played to a sold out crowd at the Wiltern on March 11, 2006Electric Six start a "Fire in the disco" at the Key Club on March 10, 2006. Also on the bill were hot new bands Every Move a Picture and Rock Kills Kid.The picture DJ Raw-Burt didn't get! This is just the tip of the iceberg, there's lots more to come! Here's a few brand new pics of Eurythmics! They are back in action with a new Greatest Hits cd (w. 2 new songs!) and remastered reissues of their cd's with loads of bonus tracks! (coming in Nov.) And while we're on the subject of Eurythmics, here's on old picture of Annie Lennox and I taken in 1989. It was taken in front of the Pantages Theatre where Eurythmics did a fan club only show to celebrate the release of their album "We Too Are One".The Dangerman (AKA Madness) at the TroubadourKathy Valentine and the Impossibles at the Troubadour Annie and Royksopp at the AvalonDirty Sanchez bring their over-the-top electroclash to the Key Club. The Go-Go's Kathy Valentine celebrates the release of her first solo album at Amoeba withh help from The Bangles Vicki Peterson and Blonide's Clem Burke.
