Nihan Demirkapi started playing the violoncello with Prof.Resit Erzin at the State Conservatory,Istanbul Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University,in Turkey and she continued her studies until present with the same professor at the conservatory. She has given first concert with Vivaldi 2 Cello Concerto in 1998.She has joined to Improvisation and Chamber Music Masterclass with Erica Radermaher in the same years.She has given a lot of concerts with Cemal Resit Rey Symphony Orchestra in 1998-2003 and she played with Tuluyhan Uğurlu, Suna Kan, G�lsin Onay, Fazıl Say. She has joined to 12 Cello project,"Cellistanbul" in 2002 and her composition "Raks Time" was played the whole concerts by the Cellistanbul. She has played Schostakovich Sonata at Fener Greek Lyceum in 2004.She has played at Italian Culture Center "Modern Music Days" with strings Quartet,and she has implemented to World Premier of Ali Dogan Sinangil's composition with quartet in 2005. She has joined to "QuartetIST" in 2005,and she has given a lot of concerts at Afife Jale Theatre Stage in 2005.She has played Schostakovich Cello Concerto E flat Major with Mimar Sinan Fine Art University Conservatory Symphony Orchestra in the same year. She has been playing cello at Metropol Symphony Orchestra since 2002,and she has been giving a lot of concerts at Bostanci Show Center,Harbiye Open Air Theatre,Lutfu Kirdar Convention Hall,After F1 Istanbul Party,St.Irene Museum,Anatolia Stage,Izmir Fair, Istanbul Arena with Metropol Symphony and Ferhat G��er Emma Shaplin,Patrizio Buanne,Al Bano and Alessandro Safina.
She has been doing a master degree at the same music department in University since 2006 and she has been giving recitals as Cello-Piano Duo with Guliz Ozturk. She has been working as a cello teacher in BASAD and as a conductor, cello teacher and the department chair of music Fine Arts College at the same time.
