Some time ago, the co-founders of JAHGYDEYAH RECORDS, Steven “Purpose†Chung and Gorken Wallen met through a mutual friend and chose to seize the opportunity to join their talents to achieve a common goal. That goal evolved into the creation of a movement to promote the incredible music production of Chung and the vocal stylings of members and affiliates of what is now known as JAHGYEDYAH.

J. WILLIAMS (myspace.com/joebwoy), an accomplished singer in his own right, lends his melodious voice to Purpose produced tracks with perfect timing and grace, and is destined to provide pleasure to the ears of the ladies. J.Will is currently working on his debut album, "LoveRootsRockMove," an eclectic mixture of lover's rock, roots, and dancehall.
Bones (myspace.com/bonesprime), a phenomenal rapper/dee-jay(reggae), delivers hard-hitting lyrics with the power of a bulldoser, the depth of a critically acclaimed philospher, with the preciseness of a brain surgoen. Bones, a true thug poet, expresses all the emotions, thoughts, and feelings that come with being a man of African descent living in America. Bones is constantly at work, banging out tracks daily for mixtapes, and is putting together his yet to be titled full-lenght album.
SHA-RA-TE (myspace.com/kalitatuzzi), an enigmatic singer/songwriter/spiritual chanter, is the elder statesman of the JahGydeYah family. With a smooth and easy vocal style when singing, Sharate Kalitatuzzi can switch to a rapid fire chant in a split second enabling him to deliver music of varying tempos, but somehow the same effect: music soothing to the ear. Sharate serves as a source of inspiration and guidance to all JahGydeYah members. Stay in tuned for an official release of "FRUITS OF LIFE" Sha-ra-te's 1st album with JAHGYDEYAH RECORDS.
Nez (myspace.com/nezdigital), the third partner in JAHGYDEYAH RECORDS, is also an aspiring rapper/deejay. Nez has an unorthodox flow, combining both roots reggae/dancehall and hip-hop cultures into ROOTZRAP. He is currently in the early stages of working on his debut album, tentatively titled "8 Banana Walk: RootzRapMuzik." Nez also experiments with beatmaking, and hopes to continue to develop himself as an artist and attend to label biz.
Despite the diversity of the artists and the genres of music that come out of the camp, there is a common theme, "positivity." As explained by Wallen, “JAHGYDEYAH strives to use music to influence minds to liberate humanityâ€.
