I'm half Italian and half Irish "with no temper".
I'm happy, upbeat, vivacious type of lady that truly enjoys a good laugh....I've been divorced for 6 l/2 years. I also have two wonderful children who I love with all my heart and soul! I have a large Italian family as well and family is very important to me.

MEASURING SUCCESS:Most individuals think you must be in the spotlight or onstage to be successful. We all know this is certainly not true. The way I measure success is from the person I am today and the person I continue to be...I'm not saying I'm perfect, but grateful to God having chose me to be the loving/sincere type of parent I can be to my two wonderful children....Their father wasn't always there for them when they were growing up even though they know their father and he is now in their lives, "thanks be to God for this". Then finally, one day I looked back and said, "maybe if I would have done this a little different I could have been successful in saving my marriage". Note: My children and myself were being emotionally and physically abused due to their father being in law enforcement, the job was way too stressful. "I tried to seek help for him and was willing to attend counseling with him"......but he replied to me, "Kathy, your the one with the problem not me". After many sleepiness nights and many prayers, "God I would say, it's me again"......Doing what "God" told me to do, I was able to move forward and raise my children by myself. My daughter is age 25, a nurse and my son, age 22, a independent contractor....."Wow.....GREAT KIDS TOO" After all of this I have much support from family and friends! Then, one day, I was told by "Loretta Lynn", "Kathy, you did a good job raising your kids"......I can't tell you what that means to me to have a person as Loretta compliment me for such a thing......After saying all this, "I remember sending Loretta a card".....she and I had one thing in common, we were both mother's yet, she thought I was successful and my having the same reply to her.......This comment from "Loretta" finally taught me "how to measure success"......Not, only can this lady sing, but she knows all about being a "successful mother"......Now look at me, "I am one successful mother"!JUST A NOTE:
I see children as kites. You spend a lifetime trying to get them off the ground. You run with them until you're both breathless. They crash....you add a longer tail....you patch and comfort, adjust and teach. You watch them lifted by the wind and assure them that someday they'll fly.
