Most of the 80s teenflicks ( my childhood ) Pretty in Pink, Desperately seeking Susan,Heathers and Lostboys Anything directed by John waters, Pedro Almodavar, Lars Von Trier, Bruce le Bruce or Alfred Hitchcock as well as most of Gus van sants work, anything with River Phoenix... Peter Greenway's epic pieces are a must, as is Russ Meyers and most of Vincent Gallows work to date, oh and i do luv the golden oldieis "Whatever happened to baby Jane", "Seven Year itch", "All about eve", "cat on a hot tin roof" "The postman always rings twice" and "rebel without a cause". I have to mention Party Monster: i know its obvious, but hey it reminds me of the days back then, oh the memories of when we wore bad platform trainers(pre spicegirls mind you)and one could never have enough glitter, the formidable faye Dunaway playing the equally formidable Joan Crawford in "mommy Dearest" a must see!..oh and of course movies from home... "dogs in space" and "puberty blues".....BlaB ....
Mostly docos, from animal/history doco's to extreme makeover. Although "six feet under" has to be rated highly. As for comedy it has to be British, Catherine Tate, Nighty Night and Little Britain as well as the good old Monty Python series. I do have a great fondness for the likes of "the bold and the beautiful","Passions", "heartbreak high". "skins" and "twin peaks". And as for entertainment from home, well i have to mention "Kath & Kim"......
The "Tales of the city" series by Armistead Maupin, and the old classics, especially Oscar Wilde, and modern classics Truman Capote, Quentin Crisp and William s Burroughs. Science fiction by John Wyndham always helps me switch off.
Dianna Vreeland, Oscar Wilde, Jeremy Scott, Madonna, David Bowie, Amanda Lepore, Leigh Bowery..... ...... ....
