Washington, D.C. native Jason Berrent is an accomplished athlete and performer.
Jason is a former gymnast. As a U.S. National Team member, he went on to win many titles and awards. His fifteen years of experience with acrobatics and dance then led him to the prestigious Cirque du Soleil, where he performed for five years, originating and creating lead roles and acrobatic numbers.
Most recently, Jason worked alongside writer and director, David Shiner, in creating and developing the lead role of The Trickster for Cirque du Soleil's new production, ‘KOOZA’. His final bow with the show was Feb. 10th, 2008. Jason is highly respected in the circus, dance and gymnastics communities.
Jason’s skills have won him worldwide acclaim. He has already performed live for sold out crowds in New York, Tokyo and at London's Royal Albert Hall.
As well as acrobatics, Jason is trained in voice and dance. He has a distinguished flair for choreography and a natural ear for music. Jason has been able to enhance his performance skills while modelling for Adidas Originals and Miami1 magazine. TV appearances include ‘The Today Show’, Comcast Television and he has recently recorded the DVD for ‘KOOZA’.
Jason is a rare combination; a highly desired fusion of unique style, dedicated energy and natural ability to perform. Due to his special talent for creativity and movement, he is currently sought out by some of the world’s leading entertainment companies.
Jason is focusing his talent and range of skills on both the creative process and performance aspects of his future projects, involving stage or screen.
