Chesterfield born singer-songwriter Downi first started writing songs at the tender age of 8. She began learning to play the keyboards and then at the age of eleven she heard a band called 'The Beatles'. " I was watching tv one Sunday evening and I heard 'Help' being played as an outro to a programme. It completely did it for me." She started playing the guitar and joined her first band at the age of 14. A local entertainments agent heard the band and they started gigging at the weekends whilst still at school. The band split but Downi has continued to write and to pursue various musical projects in the UK and abroad. This year will see the release of her long overdue studio album and you can see her perform live at the venues listed above
