i'm navajo, originally from tuba city, az. right now i'm living in tucson, working, while my husband DJ Liability finishes school.
i spend most of my free time knitting, crocheting, or beading, or some combination of those. I started out beading and then gradually got into crochet and knitting. the things that i make are mostly accessories like shawls and ponchos. i've got some sweaters started and almost finished, but i find new yarn and forget about old projects.
the same goes for my beading....i have numerous projects started and in different stages of getting finished. i love making anything sparkly, especially earrings. the more sparkly and dangly the better. i do wirework, and beadwork. my favorite stitches are peyote, ndebele (also called herringbone), and spiral. i also occasionally do right-angle weave, brickstitch, netting and variations of all those listed.
the latest thing i've been into is knitting and crocheting with beads. i made a couple of watches for my mom and her friends. i also teach classes at a local yarn store, Kiwi Knitting Co. it's a lot of fun and i enjoy sharing techniques with students.
