About Me

I'm Ho-Chunk and Stockbridge Munsee from WI. I am a nerd. I like many stereotypical Wisconsin things like Brats, Beer and the Packers. I sing loudly in the car when I have to make long road trips by myself. I also sing a little less loudly in the car when there are others with me. This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

Being outside, reading, music, politics, Monkey-Bar-ing, travelling, watching sports (particularly Badger sports and the Packers), playing sports (even though most of the time I suck), bocce, beading, swimming, playing with Kunu

I'd like to meet:

Anyone cool who likes to do interesting things. Someone who can introduce me to new things. Friends from back in the day. Also: David Byrne. Will Arnett. MCA. Tim Gunn. Chris Garver. Evo Morales.

Music:

I like most music, particularly kinds that make me wanna dance, ie. disco, hip hop, dancehall, pow wow, etc... More specifically I like Outkast, Jay-Z, Common, Kanye, Talib Kweli, A Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Busta, The Rub, DJ Garronteed, DJ Breakaway, DJ Liability, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Al Green, Talking Heads, Zotigh, Buju Banton, Toots and the Maytals, and Beethoven. Pretty much the only kind of music I don't care for is the jam band kind.

Movies:

Godfather 1&2, Star Wars original trilogy, Zoolander, Harold and Kumar, Royal Tenenbaums, Whale Rider, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Bend it Like Beckham, Love and Basketball, Brown Sugar, North by Northwest, The Jerk, Stop Making Sense, Baraka, Claymation Christmas Special, Little Miss Sunshine

Anything Gabriel Garcia Marquez (esp. Love in the Time of Cholera), anything Sherman Alexie (esp. Toughest Indian in the World and Indian Killer), some Kafka, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Matilda, Stiff, The Monster at the End of This Book, Memoirs of a Geisha, I could go on and on...

Farewell Sukho Thai Cart

It closed up for good last week.  The sad thing?  No more delicious squash curry.  The upside?  No more wierd dudes passing gas on me while waiting in line.
