About Me
Rough Sounds International started in 1987 (Spring). The founding members
are Alberto Fernandez and Mike Irwin (guitar & bass). Alberto & Mike began
to rehearse, buy equipment and record at home. They accumulated a lot of homework for a few years & by 1991 met Edgar Montas from Rebel Souls,
and started to record (Rebel Souls) "The Dawn of Spanish Ragga". It was
an English/Spanish album, Dancehall style with different flavors of Afro-Latin-American music. We also played with the band for about 5 years, really killing it at all levels in Southern California. From house parties to the Bob Marley Day in Long Beach (1996). We also played as Rough Sounds International.
The recording never stopped and we have come with about 10 albums, all Reggae in all its different flavors. Some of this music and history has been exposed at the AlbertoDubScienc site here at myspace.At the moment we have just finished to Master our latest production which is out, Rough Sounds "Friends Vol.2" This record is the product of two years of recovering tracks that went thru two generations of equipment, digital transfering, etc. As well as some tracks recorded in our actual studio.
