I have been playing and producing Reggae since the begining of the 90's.
"Rebel Souls" was the 1rst record I produced, toghether with Mike Iwin and Edgar Montas, leader of that band. It is fair to say that Rebel Souls "The Dawn of Spanish Ragga" is one of the few productions that I know have been made in a 4 track cassette recorder(Tascam 246). Also the music in the record is well "Ahead of Time"since it goes accordingly with what was happening in Jamaica at the time, which was Dancehall, but it was one of the 1rst with Spanish and English mixed, since that concept was "Unacceptable" and unavailable at the time.
I continued producing with Mike(Irwin) and we have released about 8 more records, "Close Encounters" an all instrumental album, "ReggaeTreasure," "Dub," "Friends of Rough Sounds Vol. 1,"
"Christmas Reggae Party" an instrumental Christmas Reggae record, an album for "Jah Bull," one for "Zema," 2 songs in 2 movies:
"The Waterdance" and "Thick as Thieves." Also The song "Green Grass," from the CD "Close Encounters," featured on the Jack Black major Network T.V.comedy "Cracking Up."
Did a single LP with Trevy from "Boom Shaka" for "Jah Bull", a single for "Wadi Gad". A single for Dwight Pinkney of the "Roots Radics."
Also produced some music for 'Viva 107.1 Spanish Pop radio station with Edgar Montas in 2001.
Played extensively with "Rebel Souls" & "Rough Sounds" during the 90's throughout California.
Open the "Bob Marley Day " festival in (Long Beach)1996, with "Rebel Souls".
