I am here for Dating and Friends

About Me

Fun loving kinda guy. Yes, that's me in the pic. I enjoy going to the beach, candle light dinners, walks and dinner by the ocean. I enjoy staying home with the woman I like and watching a good movie. I don't mind, in the least, making dinner or treating a woman to a nice foot massage or body massage when she gets home. It makes for a wonderful evening later on. Also, preparing her a nice bubble bath with candles and wine and maybe a few rose petals in the bath always makes for a special evening. I also like to surprise a woman with a little present every once in awhile. Bringing home flowers or candy even when it's not a special occassion. I've learned through the years that it's not the big things that a man does for his special lady but the little things. Although big things, like buying her a car or jewelry or expensive clothing are appreciated, I feel little things a guy does for his girl matters just as much. Women want men to listen to what they are saying. A guy doesn't necessarily have to come up with a solution each time but, the fact that he's listening is what matters most. Woman are constantly leaving subtle hints and it would behoove guys to pick up on that. Even if it's as innocuous as her mentioning she likes a particular shade of lipstick, pick up on that. Surprise her with a tube of it one day when you get home. This is a double edged sword and it does two things. First, it tells her you're listening to her and second, it lets her know that you appreciate her very much. And a small kiss and an I love you, as you walk out the door for work is always a great way to let her know how you feel, and a great way to start her day. All of these things cost so very little but, they carry a message that speaks volumns. I'm not a particularly big fan of drama. When I'm out with a few friends or a lady I don't cherish the idea of having to step in the middle of a confrontation and possibly coming home with various injuries or saying; "Yes officer, he threw the first punch." What I'm trying to say here is, I don't mind people having a few cocktails but, please don't turn the evening into a wild west, rock 'em, sock 'em evening or having me morph into Sigmund Freud saying, "Your mascara is running." Like I said, I don't mind people having a few cocktails but, for want of a better term, please don't turn into a sloppy drunk. So lets all go out, have fun and enjoy the evening. I'm addicted to crossword puzzles as well as the jumble(scramble, depending on which newspaper you buy) and the cryptoquip. They are all great mind exercises. It's funny how so many people exercise their entire body for hours on end yet forget about one of the most important parts of the body, the mind. An attractive body is always nice but, I strongly feel that the mind leaves a longer, more indelible impression. This in NO way means I feel that people shouldn't take care of their bodies. On the contrary, I like a woman who is physically fit as I keep myself in good shape and I like for a woman to do the same. Well, that's about it for me. Hope I haven't bored you with a lot of information about me. *WARNING* The views and opinions expressed here are not necessarily the views and opinions of Myspace. My Interests

Sports (typical male. "Haha!") fitness and education, hanging at the beach (I'm only five minutes away), making a candle light dinner for that special lady, computers, science, going to clubs....

I'd like to meet:

Beautiful ladies with a great sense of humor. Comedy and laughter are a big part of my life and a woman who incorporates these in her life are the ones I find attractive. I'd also like to meet Jesus, preferably while I'm alive, and sit down with him, share a bottle of wine, and pick his brain on the status of the world as it exists today. ...

Music:

I like all kinds of music. I'm comfortable listening to eveything from Beethoven to The Beatles to Rap to Brooks and Dunn. But my favorite is country. I like going out dancing and having a good time but, when the decible level of the music reaches such a height that I would be totally unaware of a nuclear warhead going off beside me, I find that a bit much and really not enjoyable. At that point it becomes impossible to talk with the person you're with and your only hopes of communication are pen and paper or sign language. So, if music be the fruit of love, play on. But please, keep it at a reasonable level....

Movies:

All the President's Men, Inherit the Wind, Patton, Tombstone. I also love Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, The 3 Stooges and Charlie Chaplin. Actually I like many of the silent slapstick movies. I think they are sooooooo kewl. ...

Television:

All in the Family, Mash, The Honeymooners, NYPD Blue, Law and Order, The History Channel, The Learning Channel, A&E. I enjoy watching Forensic Files, New Detectives, Cold Case Files, American Justice, Investigative Reports and programs of that genre. Believe it or not I'm a fan of Loony Toons, the old ones. (Ok, ok! So I'm still a little boy in some ways. "Haha!") I enjoy watching Bugs, Porky, Daffy, Elmer and all the other characters on a saturday morning. As I've gotten older I've learned to pick up on the many subtle innuendos they contain. ...

Books:

I like reading non-fiction. Currently reading Einstein's Universe.

Heroes:

My father. The late, great Mickey Mantle.

Intelligent Design

I have lately been reading and hearing about President Bush's desire to have Intelligent Design taught in the classrooms of our nation.  If such a proposal were to be initiated by him, ...

My friends are back

"PHEW!" I suddenly got back all the friends I lost. I was really hoping that would happen. I did NOT cherish the idea of having to search for the ones I lost. I can smile again. :-)
