The Audio Avengers originally started out as 'Kamaro' in 1997, being an experimental project, with Graham Foley (G-Man) & Harun Kotch (HK-Man) producing a 2 track single 'The Next Day / Just Don't Get It' recorded at The Bob Ross studios in Portsmouth. The tracks got some excellent reviews in the local press, although it was primarily designed to be just a high quality demo for my drumming and Harun's guitar work. (You can hear these tracks in our playlist above)
Since 1997, a large gap occurred with the founding members heading off in all directions with other bands and music projects. HK-Man recorded several great albums with his band 'Mr E', before having significant success with Replenish (playing bass), whilst G-Man got involved with several London bands, playing gigs with 'The Magus', auditioning for Drugstore and briefly joining Tom Patrol for 3 weeks of rehearsals. As auditions went on for more and more bands, G-Man was determined to find the right combination, but was continually disappointed. Either the bands were great people, but the music wasn't right or vice versa. Essentially, G-Man decided to write original material and see where this took the music.
In 2002, enough material had been written to start recording 'Concrete Monstrosity'. The basic song ideas were put down before G-Man headed off travelling. We were also joined by musician Andrew Pirie (AMP-Man), who played bass on the album, as well as being responsible for recording the whole thing.
A few delays occurred along the way as G-Man moved from Southampton, Bournemouth, Exeter, Gloucester and then finally ending up in Fleet, Hampshire. Also, in 2004/05 the vocal tracks were all re-recorded in a home made vocal booth.
Eventually, the songs were mastered with fantastic results by Pete Maher @ TOPFLOOR MUSIC
The artwork was completed by G-Man during July 2007 and finally, in October 2007, Concrete Monstrosity arrived some 10 years after most of the original ideas came about!

Consequently, you're probably thinking... "What's happening next? Well...new album is set to be recorded in August 2008. The new tracks have all been written more recently with a more defined sound, you'll be pleased to know that they will knock the socks off anything we've achieved in the past. The next album is to be called "We Are Swank"
We'd like to say thank you to all of the people who have listened to us, dropped us a comment or messaged us over the last few years. Take care, G-Man, HK-Man and AMP-Man : )
